background
Originally from south Wales, I attended the University of Sheffield where I earned my BA, MSc, and PhD, all in Politics.
Following a series of short, fixed-term teaching-only contracts at the Universities of Sheffield and Liverpool, I joined the University of Bath as a Lecturer in Politics in 2014, before being promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2019.
I have held numerous departmental administrative positions and am the current Head of Division (Politics & IR). At the University level, I’ve been twice elected by my colleagues to Academic Senate and University Council.
An active and committed trade unionist, I am a caseworker and negotiator for the University of Bath UCU branch, and a previous branch President.
